Also, we offer free in-home assessments to find out exactly what the client’s needs are in the home.
Long Term Care
Long term care is a variety of services which help meet both the medical and non-medical needs of people with a chronic illness or disability who cannot care for themselves for long periods of time.
Companionship
Companionship is a very important part of our service. We like to keep our clients minds and bodies motivated by enjoying activities such as playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and accompanying them for walks.
Home Care
We provide meal preparation and light housekeeping duties such as general cleaning of bathrooms, floors, dishes and making and changing of beds.
Personal Care
We assist our clients with their morning routine such as personal hygiene, grooming and getting them up, dressed and ready for the day.
Palliative care
We have trained staff that can provide end of life care for adults of all ages.
Rehabilitation/short term care
We have trained staff that will work with doctors, physiotherapists, extra mural nurses, etc. to get an adult of any age back on their feet after a surgery, accident, or any extended illness as soon as possible.
At UniCare, we have a very caring and qualified group of caregivers. Our staff consists of Personal Support workers, Nursing students, and Homemakers. All caregivers are PCA Level 2 trained according to New Brunswick standards.
They are thoroughly screened and we do our best to match client and caregiver. All caregivers have first aid training, are police background checked and bondable. They provide our clients with excellent care while helping them maintain their quality of life.
